The opportunity

As part of our rapid growth, you have the chance to be the first Account Based Marketing Manager (ABM) at Immersive Labs, joining a group of highly collaborative and driven marketers and reporting to Tarah our VP of Marketing based in Boston. 

You’ll work closely with the Go to market team to drive the development and execution of a measurable, high-impact Account Based Marketing strategy to successfully engage international target accounts, leading to the generation of qualified pipeline opportunities for the sales teams. 

Ideally you will have experience with ABM technologies (we use Terminus) and tactics to successfully engage enterprise accounts, generate pipelines and move them effectively through the buyer's journey. 

 It’s an exciting time to join as we rapidly grow, this is a chance to define and deliver ABM Campaigns and strategy as you see fit with lots of autonomy and opportunity to rapidly progress your career at an exciting scaleup in the cyber security & learning industry. 

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Define ABM strategy and execution plans, encompassing multiple ABM tools and technologies.
  • Understand the buyers within enterprise accounts – pain points, demographics, and how they buy.
  • Partner with Demand Generation, SDR and Account Executive teams to develop a high touch marketing strategy with the goal of building and accelerating pipeline for Enterprise accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams on campaign concept, content requirements, buyer’s journey development, and digital marketing execution to ensure effectiveness execution.
  • Manage program budgets.
  • Analyze data to monitor the success of programs and optimize activities based on data-driven findings and present to leadership team

 

To be successful:

  • Demonstrable experience in B2B Technology marketing, 
  • Track record of driving successful Global ABM campaigns
  • Expertise with CRM’s, marketing automation and ABM platforms (SFDC, Hubspot, Salesloft and Terminus)

Write deliberately vulnerable web applications for Immersive Labs and help us educate developers around the world on how to fix vulnerabilities in their code and create more secure applications. 

At Immersive Labs, we’ve just launched our latest offering - Secure Coding. This exciting new addition to our market-leading platform teaches developers how to write secure code. We are creating labs that take our users from the basics of writing a secure application avoiding the standard OWASP pitfalls through to building secure public cloud-hosted web apps.

The first set of secure coding labs are live and loved by our users, we are now looking to expand our offering to drive this forward! 

As an Application Security Engineer you will develop labs, games & challenges teaching all aspects of Application Security to improve the security posture of organisations globally. 

You will work closely with the wider cybersecurity and engineering teams to develop and deliver cutting edge labs focused on Application Security. 


Your main responsibilities:

  • Plan, write and improve application security labs, challenges and online learning content on the Immersive Labs platform
  • Produce multi-format content utilising various teaching methods; practical exercises, questions & gamification
  • Test and review application security labs to ensure they function as expected
  • Communicate with the Engineering and Content teams on new projects/products and how best to deploy them
  • Learn about new technologies independently and apply them to your work and to improve the team's work
  • Participate in Kanban teams and adapt quickly to changing requirements

 

To be successful:

  • Proven track record in software development

The opportunity

You'll get to work in a friendly multi-disciplinary agile team and also work on innovative ideas one day a fortnight in our 10% time.

Your main responsibilities (which is essentially where we get boring and list some of the things you will be doing, and are also likely to change as we scale):
You'll get to immerse yourself in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS. We want to give you a place where you'll learn from us and we'll learn from you through getting involved in the following:

  • Formulate technical solutions from product requirements in collaboration with others to create a first class platform
  • Design, build and maintain an efficient, reusable and reliable codebase 
  • Maintaining good test coverage over all aspects of the codebase by performing unit tests and integration tests
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs in back-end code, and devise solutions to these problems to minimise customer impact
  • Translate technical language/concepts for non-technical individuals written and orally 
  • Be actively involved in all team ceremonies, 2-week sprints and retrospectives, working closely with product managers and other disciplines
  • Work closely with the front end developers; our front end applications are developed in JavaScript, React, HTML5, and CSS3

To be successful you will have (so please make sure it is on your CV):

  • Demonstrable and up-to-date knowledge with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, APIs (GraphQL or REST), and object-oriented design. 
  • Any experience with AWS or Kubernetes is an advantage 
  • Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system and create database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications
  • Proficient understanding of Git and familiarity with CI setups

This is a new opportunity to be the first Channel Account Manager for DACH at Immersive Labs, based in the Germany you will be responsible for recruiting new channel partners across the DACH region and supporting key sales functions, ensuring channel partners and you are successful.

The opportunity

Due to our rapid growth and further expansion we are seeking a Channel Sales Manager. You will report into Jake Alosco our Senior Director of Global Channels and will be responsible for supporting the key sales functions and growth goals for our partners, resellers and distributors. You must be extremely results driven, customer focused, technologically savvy, and innovative at building internal relationships and external partnerships to attack the market with passion!

As a Channel Manager, you will be responsible to proactively engage with partners to identify and drive new partner led business opportunities.

This is a remote position covering the West Coast, North American territory. 

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Identifying and Recruiting new partners in territory to support the sales efforts. 
  • Onboard new partners in region alongside Sales and Technical Enablement
  • Develop and manage the day to day relationship between partners and Immersive Labs. 
  • Drive yearly, quarterly, monthly business planning with Partners, ensuring you meet or exceed quota
  • Delivers Value Propositions and other key messaging to partner communities. 
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of Immersive Labs products along with understanding of competitive products, pricing, and stance within our partners. 
  • Review and decision deal registrations. 
  • Communicate product launches and promotions. 
  • Create and execute partner events 
  • Maintain forecast and be able to report weekly. 

 

To be successful:

  • Proven experience as a Channels Sales Manager. 
  • Hold cyber security reseller relationships and have experience working with software distributors
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills mandatory. 
  • Time management and organization skills mandatory.
  • Ability to close business while achieving a high level of partner satisfaction.

The opportunity
This isn’t an ordinary cloud role, we know everyone claims this and will tell you their role is super unique. But this one really is. You are constantly researching, learning, totally geeking out on all things cloud security related, from Kubernetes to AWS, and then taking that knowledge and creating labs. You will be educating the world of cloud security professionals on how to make sure they are secure in what they do. Now that is a pretty cool legacy to leave behind.

No more 4am call outs. No more working over Christmas. Just upskilling yourself to be tremendously knowledgeable and sharing that knowledge of best practice with the world. 

Your main responsibilities (the boring part where we bullet out key duties):

  • Planning, writing and improving cloud security labs, challenges and online learning content on the Immersive Labs platform
  • Produce multi-format content utilising various teaching methods; practical exercises, questions & gamification
  • Test Cloud Security labs to ensure they function as expected
  • Work with the Engineering and Content teams on new projects/products and how best to deploy them

To be successful (be a good idea to make sure this is on your CV):

  • Proven track record of working in production-critical infrastructures and Cloud environments with a security focus
  • Extensive knowledge in the AWS or Azure ecosystem including expertise with security, identity  & access
  • Solid containerisation experience, specifically using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiar with Serverless technologies
  • Knowledgeable in network, firewall and security best practices
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and deployment, specifically Terraform and Cloudformation
  • Understanding of cloud monitoring tools

The opportunity

You will form an agile team with other interns, working on a project which will combine both cyber and programming skills. 

The internship will provide insight into a broad range of cyber and software disciplines, enabling you to better decide where you want to work longer term. 

You will have lots of opportunity to use the platform and practically up skill yourself as you test and validate lab content. 

This internship will run from the 5th July - 27th August 2021 at our office in Bristol, UK (possible remote working for part of the internship)

Salary: National living wage (£6.56-£8.91 p/h)

Your main responsibilities

  • Work with the technical teams to learn how to create your own labs and content. 
  • Working in product delivery team exploring Agile software delivery methods and learning about modern programming languages and techniques 
  • Work with the wider content team to test and validate lab content based on user feedback
  • Researching cybersecurity, technology and technical concepts to understand the learnings, and translate to a non-technical audience.
  • Collaborating on exercises & content creation based upon research

The opportunity

As part of our rapid growth, you have the chance to be the first Field Event Marketer at Immersive Labs, joining a group of highly collaborative and driven marketers and reporting to Tarah our VP of Marketing based in Boston. 

You’ll be responsible for creating a Field Marketing and Events strategy for virtual and in-person events (when safe), managing metrics and reporting, and collaborating cross functionally with sales, product and customer marketing, etc. to drive revenue. 

You will possess impeccable communication skills both written and oral and must be incredibly organized and detail oriented - managing the programs for many virtual and in-person events happening at the same time. 

It’s an exciting time to join as we rapidly grow, this is a chance to define and deliver Event Marketing Campaigns and strategy as you see fit with lots of autonomy and opportunity to rapidly progress your career at an exciting scaleup in the cyber security & learning industry. 

 

Daily adventures will include:

  • Planning, producing, and executing field events that are virtual and/or in-person
  • Assisting, accelerating, and creating sales opportunities to drive revenue through custom events and field initiatives by working directly with the sales team to identify customers & prospects from target accounts
  • Managing key metrics such as pipeline, cost per meeting, cost per lead, opportunity conversion, etc.
  • Supporting internal communication across multiple departments (sales, marketing, customer success) on expectations, goals, deliverables, event logistics, acquisition of attendees; sponsor lists, and performance
  • Reporting on the impact that field events have on top target accounts, including account engagement and pipeline growth. This includes ensuring that attribution is being correctly and properly reported.
  • Training GTM teams on content, processes, and workflows surrounding field events and programs,
  • Collaborating with demand gen team on programs that drive pre-show interest, attendance, and post-show conversion activity and engagement
  • Aligning with key stakeholders, such as sales and PR to maximize value and accelerate deals
  • Creating strategy and tactics to increase MQL to SQL conversion rates from Field Events and Programs - including A/B testing, new CTAs, content, etc.

 

To be successful:

You’re a curious problem solver who has the ability to bring big ideas to life. You’re creative and scrappy but can navigate a large organization with ease. You’re agile and adaptable but work with precision to ensure we deliver top-notch event experiences. You also have:

  • 4+ years of experience in a Demand Gen, Field Marketing, or similar role
  • Experience using Salesforce, HubSpot, and 3rd Party Integrated Tools

You will help the Financial Controller to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Finance Departments transactional activities. Your main responsibilities:

  • Formulate technical solutions from product requirements in collaboration with others to create a first class platform
  • Design, build and maintain an efficient, reusable and reliable codebase 
  • Maintaining good test coverage over all aspects of the codebase by performing unit tests and integration tests
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs in front-end code, and devise solutions to these problems to minimise customer impact
  • Translate technical language/concepts for non-technical individuals written and orally 
  • Be actively involved in all team ceremonies, 2-week sprints and retrospectives, working closely with product managers and other disciplines
  • Work closely with the back end developers, QA and wider engineering and experience design team. 

 

To be successful:

  • Demonstrable and up to date knowledge with a JavaScript framework, preferably React, some knowledge of TypeScript, GraphQL/Apollo would be an advantage as would integrating with third party APIs
  • Knowledge of writing unit and integration tests, preferable React Testing Library, to ensure a robust platform. Experience of TDD will be an advantage
  • Experience of devising quick solutions to bugs in front-end code to minimise customer impact
  • Knowledge of best practice when working in a large, scalable front-end codebase
  • Proficient understanding of Git and familiarity with CI setups
  • Ability to interpret a design and follow through with your own implementation, suggestions, and ability to spot potential technical pain points
  • High level understanding of CSS/SASS, ideally using styled-components along with semantic HTML
  • Experience integrating a complex front-end codebase into a back-end API. Experience integrating with Ruby will be an advantage

The opportunity

We are looking for Senior Front-end developers who are proficient in JavaScript, ideally React, Redux and Saga, but experience with any JS framework would be considered. Any experience of integrating with a Ruby on Rails back-end will be advantageous, but not required.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Formulate technical solutions from product requirements in collaboration with others to create a first class platform
  • Design, build and maintain an efficient, reusable and reliable codebase 
  • Maintaining good test coverage over all aspects of the codebase by performing unit tests and integration tests
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs in front-end code, and devise solutions to these problems to minimise customer impact
  • Translate technical language/concepts for non-technical individuals written and orally 
  • Be actively involved in all team ceremonies, 2-week sprints and retrospectives, working closely with product managers and other disciplines
  • Work closely with the back end developers, QA and wider engineering and experience design team. 

 

To be successful:

  • Demonstrable and up to date knowledge with a JavaScript framework, preferably React, some knowledge of TypeScript, GraphQL/Apollo would be an advantage as would integrating with third party APIs
  • Knowledge of writing unit and integration tests, preferable React Testing Library, to ensure a robust platform. Experience of TDD will be an advantage
  • Experience of devising quick solutions to bugs in front-end code to minimise customer impact
  • Knowledge of best practice when working in a large, scalable front-end codebase
  • Proficient understanding of Git and familiarity with CI setups
  • Ability to interpret a design and follow through with your own implementation, suggestions, and ability to spot potential technical pain points
  • High level understanding of CSS/SASS, ideally using styled-components along with semantic HTML
  • Experience integrating a complex front-end codebase into a back-end API. Experience integrating with Ruby will be an advantage

The opportunity
Our data team is growing pretty fast. At Immersive Labs, data is on fleek, and our team is so highly in demand we need someone to support with the plethora of queries and just generally shield the team from day to day noise so they can deliver very important data suites to our teams.

In return for you being a super supportive human, you will be surrounded by data nerds that will impart their wisdom to you, and will enable you to be a future data nerd. You will learn heaps about statistical analysis through a commercial lens, you will upskill yourself in coding, and you will learn by doing. 

It is important to note, that this is the sort of role you bed yourself in for 12-18 months to really get to learn and appreciate what it takes to be a strong data analyst/scientist… but after that period of learning you will embark on an amazing career journey. 

Your main responsibilities (which is essentially where we get boring and list some of the things you will be doing, that are also likely to change as we scale):

  • Monitor the data pipeline and check for issues, resolving or escalating as appropriate
  • Act as first line support for data queries and dashboard guidance
  • Make changes to Looker dashboards and looks as requested
  • Set up new users on Looker and act as a gatekeeper for licences
  • Set up new data sources using Stitch
  • Support the Analytics Engineer and Data Analysts in their work

To be successful you will have (so please make sure it is on your CV):

  • A logical mindset
  • The desire for a career in one of the aspects of data analytics, this would be demonstrable through online course or attendance at events
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Some coding experience as part of academia or in a workplace setting, this could be in Python, R or SQL

This is a new and exciting opportunity to join our People and Culture team in the UK.

In this role you will support the People and Talent Directors and People and Culture Partners with various tasks relating to people operations. 

You will take full ownership of the onboarding process, welcoming people to the Immersive Labs community and making them feel included from day 1. You will be a natural relationship builder, working closely with stakeholders across the global business on all aspects of the employee life cycle, from Career Development through to Engagement and Wellbeing. 

A core part of your role will require you to be detail oriented, updating and maintaining our key systems for accuracy including our HRIS and our ATS. The opportunity

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer based either in Bristol or remotely in the UK with fortnightly visits to our Bristol HQ (when life eventually returns to normal!). You’ll be joining a QA team ensuring our web application is fully tested through manual and automated testing. 

You will also take part in 10% time, which is a whole day once every 2 weeks to improve yourself and explore new tools and technologies. 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Investigate and design/build solutions for any potential quality weak spots on the platform/development workflow
  • Contribute to the testing effort through automated testing using Cypress and TestCafe
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing to ensure that work items meet the acceptance criteria you help define
  • Identify when features do not meet expected behaviour and explain your observation to the team, including developers, business analysts and other QA
  • Actively participate in sprint ceremonies: daily stand-up, sprint planning, sprint review & retrospective and backlog refinement meetings
  • Work with developers to help them understand quality standards 
  • Advocate for quality within the team or even better, across the company
  • Collaborate with others to create and update the Test Strategy and other QA practices
  • Working day to day as part of a mixed Agile team comprising of Developers,  Product Owner and various Stakeholders

To be successful:

  • Understanding of QA principles, tools and techniques including testing concepts, methodologies and processes
  • Good understanding of agile development practice
  • Demonstrate a positive can-do attitude while under pressure, with the ability to organise and prioritise responsibilities 
  • Interpersonal skills and be able to work in partnership with other people.

The opportunity

Due to our demand and our rapid growth we're now looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer with expertise in securing applications to join the content engineering team. The Content team creates the labs on our platform and are crucial to the success of the business. As an Application Security Engineer you will develop labs, games & challenges teaching all aspects of Application Security to improve the security posture of organisations globally. 

You will work closely with the wider cybersecurity and engineering teams to develop and deliver cutting edge labs focused on Application Security.

If you are intrigued by our culture and eager to work with a team of iterative, globally-based colleagues who have varying viewpoints and you are excited about security and improving security applications along with impacting the product, and proposing changes to improve the experience of developers learning about application security.   • Provide input into the product roadmap and team deliverables

This isn’t an ordinary cloud role, we know everyone claims this and will tell you their role is super unique. But this one really is. You are constantly researching, learning, totally geeking out on all things security AWS related, and then taking that knowledge and creating practical hands-on labs. You will be educating the world of AWS professionals on how to make sure they are secure in what they do. You will also be mentoring junior members of our team to help them on the start of their career. Now that is a pretty cool legacy to leave behind.

Your main responsibilities (the boring part where we bullet out key duties):

  • This is an early product, so you will be getting involved in the design of the whole product
  • Planning, writing and improving cloud security labs, challenges and online learning content on the Immersive Labs platform
  • Produce multi-format content utilising various teaching methods; practical exercises, questions & gamification
  • Test Cloud Security labs to ensure they function as expected
  • Work with the Engineering and Content teams on new projects/products and how best to deploy them

To be successful (be a good idea to make sure this is on your CV):

  • Proven track record of working in production-critical infrastructures and Cloud environments with a security focus
  • Extensive knowledge in AWS ecosystem including expertise with security, identity  & access
  • Solid containerisation experience, specifically using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiar with Serverless technologies
  • Knowledgeable in network, firewall and security best practices
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and deployment, specifically Terraform and Cloudformation
  • Understanding of cloud monitoring tools
  • Hands-on experience with software development, cloud infrastructure, IT services, networking, and security

The opportunity

We’re growing fast and need the very best Senior Customer Success Manager to be the first West Coast member of our North American Customer Success Team. You will ensure customers receive exceptional value from the Immersive Labs platform by understanding their needs and supporting their journey through workshops, and direct engagement

You will be responsible for ensuring high levels of satisfaction, driving adoption, expanding the use of Immersive Labs across customers’ organizations, and managing customer programs. You will also engage with cross-functional teams to successfully manage and resolve all issues affecting your customers. Your ability to organize, follow up, and be proactive about customer issues will provide continuous improvements to your customer’s satisfaction levels. 

You will have great communication skills with the ability to work with customers ranging from security personnel through CISOs and other key stakeholders.

The Customer Success team works closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Content, and Technical teams to deliver solutions that simultaneously delight the customer and provide a foundation for business growth. Customer Success is one of the key driving forces behind Immersive Labs rapid growth and we’re looking for highly energetic and proactive people to help maximize our net retention and unlock upsells/cross-sell opportunities. 

  

Your main responsibilities:

  • Be the primary point of contact for designated accounts, serving as an advocate for customer needs to drive success
  • Support our customers and partners in their efforts to successfully use and adopt Immersive Labs
  • Perform customer onboarding, health checks, conduct business reviews, and proactively alert customers of any impending issues

  • Experience in program and/or project management with a proven track record of managing multiple projects to completion
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve customer issues independently
  • Leadership qualities to drive customer solutions
  • Security or risk management experience preferred
  • Desirable to have worked within a technology-based environment, preferably SaaS

Immersive Labs has grown quickly fueled by demand for our cyber security training platform, we are now looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join the content research team in Bristol. This is a new role to design and develop defensive oriented labs on our platform.

As the Senior Security Engineer - Blue Team, you will actively identify and research tools, techniques and best practices, to develop and improve labs and challenges on the Immersive Labs platform in order to train cyber security professionals across the world. 

Ideally, you will have a background in Security Operations or Security Engineering.

Your main responsibilities:

  • To plan, develop and improve blue team oriented cyber security labs and challenges on the Immersive Labs platform.
  • Write engaging content to teach users at all levels about cyber defence.
  • In-depth knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and how it is used to help enterprises deal with threats to their organisation.
  • Support various events such as Capture the Flag and Hackathons.
  • Produce multi-format content utilising various teaching methods including; written, exercises, questions, games and practical labs.
  • Test cyber security labs to ensure they function as expected.
  • Research defensive tactics, tools and best practices and compile this research to deliver practical and theory labs to users.
  • Compile technical research into understandable concise content for both technical and non-technical audiences.

 

To be successful:

  • Skills and expertise as a Senior in Security Operations or Security Engineering role.
  • Have a strong technical understanding of networking, computing and cyber security.
  • Ability to write theory and online learning content about IT/Computing and Cyber.
  • Have the ability to use examples and analogies to simplify complex subjects.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Docker and Python would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team while leading and mentoring other team members.

The opportunity
The Delivery Lead role is something we have been crying out for within Immersive Labs for a little while now, so when we make this hire you will be very well received and very in demand! This is both exciting and challenging in equal measure.

This role will be instilling agility into teams making them work smarter and more efficiently within a safe space, with a view to them becoming more autonomous in the way they work as a team. You will also be scrutinising the processes that are required that underpin the work flowing in and out of Engineering; ensuring they’re fit for purpose, lightweight and robust.

The opportunity

We’re growing fast and need a temporary Finance Assistant to join our in-house Finance Team based in Bristol on a temporary basis

You will help the Financial Controller to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Finance Departments transactional activities. Taking responsibility to accurately maintain receivable and payables ledgers, maintain and reconcile bank accounts, undertake necessary business administration while also work on ad-hoc accounts and payroll administration tasks as required by the Financial Controller. 

We’re looking for you to be organised, with high attention to detail and take pride in the work you do. You will be AAT qualified or currently studying the AAT qualification and have experience using NetSuite. 

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Purchase Ledger – maintaining the processing supplier invoices accurately and timely while ensuring all costs are recognised correctly.
  • Credit control – managing all overdue invoice communications and ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manner.
  • Transactional book-keeping of records within our accounting system.
  • Processing and reconciling multi-currency banking transactions.
  • Administration and reconciliation of all company credit cards and related business expenditure.
  • Expenses - processing expense claims, checking claims and ensuring all receipts are provided, ensuring expenses claims are received and processed timely.
  • Finance processes and procedures – ensuring all processes and procedures are performed timely and accurately and to contribute to the development of processes.
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with multi-jurisdictional payroll administration.

 

To be successful:

  • Be part or fully AAT qualified - continued study support to be provided.
  • Previous Experience in a finance assistant role with a willingness to learn and develop 
  • Experience with Excel, Ledger management, receivable and payables administration and NetSuite.
  • Great interpersonal skills to liaise with people within the business, outside of finance, as well as external stakeholders.
  • Thrive in a growing environment with demanding and challenging tasks that may change on a regular basis.
  • Have a can-do attitude, highly-motivated to learn and be willing to be flexible in what you do.
