Then look no further, as we have an incredibly exciting opportunity for you to join us here at Immersive Labs - a rapidly growing cyber security business - as an Associate Security Sales Engineer (Pre-Sales) within our Sales Engineering team in Boston, Massachusetts.

It’s an exciting time to join, as not only is cyber security at the forefront of most businesses minds, but we offer a product that truly helps skill up the human side of organizations we work with to provide the first line of defense against a variety of cyber threats. 

As part of the onboarding program, you will be equipped from day one with the guidance, training, and mentorship required to evolve into a cyber security sales engineer. The technical, cyber security, and solution selling skills learned will allow the Associate Sales Engineer to work closely with our sales team in a technical pre-sales capacity to help solve real-world cyber security problems for prospective customers.

You’ll identify and help define customer requirements and align our solutions’ offerings accordingly to drive value and secure the technical wine for highlighting the key features of the Immersive Labs platform to prospective customers and also updating all clients on any new features we have added.

At Immersive Labs, we don’t specify a minimum level of experience but we do expect that you have a strong interest in cybersecurity and appetite to work in a fast-paced sales environment.To be successful you’ll need to know or want to learn cyber security inside and out in order to be passionate about our customers’ success.

 

Your main responsibilities (we're scaling fast, so these may change as we grow):

  • Maintain expert technical knowledge of Immersive Labs’ Cyber Workforce Optimization Platform and competitor technologies
  • Identify and help define prospective customers’ technical requirements / use-cases to align Immersive Lab’s technical and business value proposition 
  • Engage C-level executives, technical cyber security professionals, and major lines of business through delivering in-depth solution demonstrations and managing proof-of-concepts, with the opportunity to also exhibit Immersive Labs at conferences, security events, and on-site meetings
  • Act as a security advisor throughout the technical sales cycle by building cyber skills programs, facilitating crisis simulations, and measuring organizational risk
  • Partner with Sales to develop and execute strategy for securing the technical win for net new business as well as customer upsells you are engaged with
  • Collaborate with our product, content, and engineering teams to serve as the voice of the customer and influence product innovation

 

You should apply if you have ​​(we know it’s tough, but please try to avoid the ​​confidence gap​.​​ You don’t have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role):

  • Interest in cyber security and willingness to immerse in the community to remain informed of evolving threats, trends, and new technologies 
  • Understanding of information security concepts, domains, compliances, and standards
  • Understanding of IT fundamentals (computer hardware/software, databases, networking, security, and software development)
  • Familiarity with Windows & Linux operating systems, security tools (IDS, firewalls, anti-malware, SIEM), public cloud environments, etc
  • Experience delivering technical presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences across all levels would be highly desirable
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience would be useful to give you a head start but is no essential to this role

What you can expect once you apply:

  • Our talent acquisition team review all applications received which can take up to two weeks to complete
  • If successful, you will receive an invite from a Talent Acquisition Partner to a screening interview which takes around 30 minutes to discuss the role, culture at Immersive Labs and your expertise in more detail.
  • If you progress from this step there will be three interviews involving the Sales and Leadership team. Your Talent Acquisition Partner will outline each step when you get there
